The 2008 event started as a grey affair - something that would turn out to be a running theme for air shows throughout that season.

The sun did however make a well timed appearance for the RAF Role Demonstration, which blessed the high octane display involving Sentry, Tornado GR.4s, Tornado F.3s, Hawks, Apache and Chinook

Highlights naturally included many classic jet and warbird aircraft. Delta Jets' Hunters performed a fantastic formation flypast with the Tornado F.3s that were part of the Role Demo.

This was also one of the shows to feature the RAF's new King Air display, a fantastic routine showing off manouvreability you wouldn't normally see from such a type.
