IPMS AVON

Secretary’s notes

With the SMW 2006 looming it was interesting to receive this news snippet via Bill Flook that was written in 1984.  We still need some models to represent “servicing and repair “ and John is a tad concerned that he hasn’t had any confirmed finished logistics models yet. ( Not to worry John– my workroom is stuffed full with a 1/48 Ju 52 and C-47! They will be completed or left in “service & repair” status)

I borrowed a copy of Scale Aircraft Modelling magazine
of December 1984 from the Clubs Library.

In this magazine, there was a write up of the IPMS
Nationals of 1984. In this article, that you will see
printed on the right. It just goes to show that things do not
change. They have picked out IPMS Avon for a special
mention, as supporting the show with, "A Most
Fascinating Exhibit."

I hope that we will receive something similar about
this year's theme of "Support" at the Nationals.

Hmm– I can see the wings but where’s the engine?
